STEPHEN COTTRELL is the Bishop of Reading. Until recently he was Canon Pastor at Peterborough Cathedral and a member of the Archbishop's Springboard Team for evangelism. He has written widely about evangelism, spirituality and catechesis. His books include Praying through Life, Travelling Well (co-written with Steven Croft), and the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent book for 2004, I Thirst. He is married to Rebecca and they have three boys.

STEVEN CROFT has recently been appointed to the new post of Archbishop's Missioner and leader of Fresh Expressions, the new initiative which is the successor to Springboard. He was previously Warden of Cranmer Hall, Durham from 1996-2004 and before that Vicar of Ovenden in Halifax for nine years. He now lives in the centre of Oxford with his wife Ann and two sons and two daughters. Steven is the author of a number of books on discipleship, ministry and church life including Travelling Well (co-written with Stephen Cottrell) and Transforming Communities:  Re-imagining the Church for the 21st Century.   

JOHN FINNEY was the Evangelism Officer for the Church of England and then Bishop of Pontefract. His research on adults who become Christians was published as Finding Faith Today. He has written and spoken widely about evangelism and was involved in writing the General Synod paper On the Way - Towards an Integrated Approach to Christian Initiation.

FELICITY LAWSON is Vicar of St Peter's Gildersome in the Diocese of Wakefield and a former Dean of Ministry and DDO in that diocese, having previously been on the staff of St John's Nottingham. Together with John Finney, she wrote Saints Alive!, a nurture course helping Christians towards a deeper understanding of life in the Spirit.  She is currently Chair of Trustees of ReSource, formerly Anglican Renewal Ministries.

ROBERT WARREN was Team Rector of one of the largest and fastest growing churches in England, St Thomas', Crookes in Sheffield. He succeeded John Finney as the Church of England's National Officer for Evangelism and then was a full-time member of the Springboard Team for five years. He retired in 2004. His most recent book, The Healthy Churches' Handbook, underlines the vital role in a healthy church of people being helped both on the journey to faith and on the subsequent lifetime journey of faith.
